Breaking Dawn Review

Whew it's been busy and crazy since Nov & i'm finally getting a chance to sit down and give you my review of Breaking Dawn.
My favorite movie of all so far of the 4!

While the other movies have more “action”, Breaking Dawn is much more a love story. After all, there is a wedding,the much anticipated honeymoon & Renesseme!
I know Edward & Bella belong together, but I felt sorry for Jacob in the movie, as you can tell he has such strong feelings for Bella. The acting is the best out of any of the movies.

Favorite moments:

Jasper & Emmett come to get Edward for "Bachelor Party"

I loved how it show Bella so nervous walking down the aisle till she saw Edward.

While on my favorite site Pinterest I came across a Momma & Me Journal.
I love this idea & am going to make mine & Chloie's journal tomorrow!
I can't wait to give it to her. I think she is going to love this.

Easy Peasy Patriotic Outfit

Miss Chloie sang in a Veterans Day Program yesterday. She needed to wear Red, White & Blue.
So with her help we designed an outfit and decided to use the freezer paper stencil method.
It was super easy and Chloie was able to help. Love when the kids can help with crafts!

Taylor Swift

Since Chloie was about 3 1/2 she has been in love with Taylor Swift.
She has dreamed of going to see her in concert. Chloie is now 8 & Taylor is still her favorite singer.
So my awesome husband surprised us with Tickets to see her.
I knew about 5 days before the concert we were going and was determined to keep it a secret and surprise her. So Saturday we got ready to go "ice skating".
When we pulled up to Minute Maid Park (where she performed).
Chloie spotted her bus and the trailers that carries all of her stuff.
She asked if she was there. I pulled out the tickets and said i'm not sure what do these say that daddy sent? All she could do was cry and scream! She was pretty excited. She was even more excited when she saw where our seats were.
We got to stand right by the stage! The seats were awesome and she was awesome!

Scary Words

It's been a while since i blogged last. Other than being busy with everyday life, something else made me put but blogging on the back burner until. After going for my annual pap last month days later i get a call from my dr that i have an abnormal pap & need to come in for a Cervical Biopsy & Colposcopy .

I have HPV & it was at Level 16.

All of this was kinda scary for me to hear & wasn't sure that i wanted to share here.

That was until several friends whom i confided in told me they did too and wish more women talked about it. So i thought just maybe if i blogged about it not only would it make more people aware of it

but get some to stay on a regular schedule & have their yearly pap. It is so important do so!

I believe early detection is the best protection!

So i went in & had the Cervical Biopsy done results were negative!

Thank you God!

So there you go that's whats been going on.

I hope maybe my story will help someone!

My husband i had a infertility journey too. It was hard & were finally blessed with 2 answered prayers.

As i like to call them because we prayed many times for them.

I pray daily for couples going through infertility problems.

It's a battle that seems unfair & makes you question alot.

Locks of Love

Locks of Love is a public non-profit organization that provides hairpieces to financially disadvantaged children in the United States and Canada under age 21 suffering from long-term medical hair loss from any diagnosis. (from locks of love website)

Three weeks ago my sweet Chloie decided to donate 10 inches of her hair to Locks of Love.

For those of you that know her know how she loved her long hair! When she was 3 she told us she had to have long hair like Ariel (Little Mermaid her fav disney princess). At age 5 it was i want my hair long like Taylor Swift's (her fav country singer). So now she is 7 & decided over spring break she wanted to do something to help someone. So she decided to cut her hair and donate it. I was very shocked when she first told me because i thought she would never part with her long hair. I am so proud of Chloie!

Chloie Room Decor Ideas

Now it's time to think Room Decor! 1st off is a lamp. Chloie likes these Pottery Barn Lamps

So this weekend i'll be searching for the perfect shade & base to create the perfect lamp!Then i was thinking she needs a mirror and memo tiles to go above her desk. Maybe something like this:

Our next idea is to make some Tissue Poms & hang.

Chloie's Room Redo Day 2

Today's post is all about the desk redo!

We started with this $4 desk

With the help of this Paint & Craft Bond Adhesive

and these fabrics

We created this

And one of my Happy Ladybug who loves her desk!

Now to find some hardware for the drawers.

I'm thinking maybe these

and not sure about a chair any suggestions?

So 14 months ago i posted that my sweet ladybug was begging for a room redo!

See this post

So we this weekend she got a full size bed & the daybed went to Claire's room.

On our bedding shopping spree this is what she picked out:

Reversible Comforter Zebra on one side Pink Cheetah Print on the other!

Then while at a local thrift store i found this treasure for $4

I plan on painting it white & doing some decoupage on the top & drawers!

Birthday Girl!

My Sweet Girl Chloie just celebrated her 7th birthday!

Since January here in South TX has very unpredictable weather we decided to have a bowling party!

This is the first time we didn't have her party here at home but i think it turned out great & everyone had fun.

Received an email from a friend that i had to share.

What Love means to a 4-8 year old. . Slow down for three minutes to read this. It is so worth it;touching words from the mouth of babes.

A group of professional people posed this question o a group of 4 to 8 year-olds, 'What does love mean?'

The answers they got were broader and deeper than anyone could have imagined. See what you think:

'Love is when my mommy makes coffee for my daddy and she takes a sip before giving it to him,to make sure the taste is OK.' Danny - age 7

And the final one -- Author and lecturer Leo Buscaglia once talked about a contest he was asked to judge. The purpose of the contest was to find the most caring child.

The winner was a four year old child whose next door neighbor was an elderly gentleman who had recently lost his wife. Upon seeing the man cry, the little boy went into the old gentleman's yard,climbed onto his lap, and just sat there. When his Mother asked what he had said to the neighbor,the little boy said,

'Nothing, I just helped him cry'

My sweet friend Viv has done it again! She has taken our family portraits & the girls birthday pictures the last few years. At the end of every shoot i leave excited and anxious to see our pics. She always manages to capture special moments and make us smile! This year our monkey Claire gave us a run for our money! She wasn't about to sit still and let us get a pic with her. Viv worked her magic though and gave us beautiful family pics! Thanks Viv! We love you!

A Year Later

So i pulled up the shot she took of the girls and then looked at this years. Tears came to my eyes.

They are growing too fast.
